>Actually, I would say about 1 in 3 make in, not 1 in 30. This was told to me by an owner of a Block office...<
Now he wouldn't have a reason to inflate those numbers would he?

Well, I could see how you could make such a point, but this particular person was an excellent trader and had actually gone on to open his own office. He just didn't have any reason to lie to me. His office was one of the most successful Block offices and he had trained many of the traders himself. The more important piece of information he provided was that he had never seen anyone over 40 make it...

As for discipline, I would add concentration. And an excellent execution system too, like Cybertrader.

For those who are interested and starting out in day trading, dpl IMO is one person with a high degree of integrity and worthwhile to listen to as he relates his experiences. He just not like to soap box like some of us here do like I find myself doing sometimes. ;)

Hey Gang..

Someone had stated that they felt they look for great traders and emulate their good trades. I agree. But also feel that even more important is to look at bad trades and traders and dissect where they went wrong, where they could have minimized losses or protected profits, etc.

To that end, I put up a new thread From The Trading Desk Bloopers and Bluners...https://www.siliconinvestor.com/subject.aspx?subjectid=21576

Check it out if you are interested!
