Thanks for posting the info on Jews of Cochin. Actually I was there in 94. As a matter of fact Koder & Co was one of the biggest business houses in Kerala in the 60s. Mr.Koder was a very prominent citizen in the city of Cochin and Kerala and he headed many business and social organizations. I heard that now the company is sold, perhaps the younger Koders might have emigrated to Israel.

I particularly liked Mrs.Koder's statement below.

'We often request some non-Jew males in the locality to help conduct the prayers. It is only during the tourist season that we can muster enough strength for the prayers. Visiting Jews come to our help."
