Hello Harold! The rumors I hear is that all DVD capacity is spoken for at the moment. That is, anyone who can make DVD's is working as hard as they can. There is speculation that the movie titanic which was released for video yesterday (VHS will be here in sept.) has not been able to commit to DVD yet (even though Paramount has now committed to DVD). Since Titanic is a very long movie only a few replicators can make it. (it will require multiple layers, I think they call it "RSDL"). All vendors who can press this type (and nimbus can) of disk are spoken for until beyond XMAS. (ruomor, not fact as far as I know). Also, DIvx is now out in the test market areas and the 150 mil advertising budget is kicking in, in the test cities. Full blown launch is this fall. I don't no if you saw my post about the launch but at the end of that post is a list of Divx titles that is quite substantial. According to Nimbus investor relations email I got in late april: "You can safely assume that Nimbus has relationships with all of the major independent movie studios which have announced commitment to DVD. Clearly, quantity and commitment will differ. Furthermore, Nimbus relationship with Digital Video Express, as announced this morning, extends Nimbus' contact with the major content providers to the major studios. You can look at the list of major studios which have signed on with DIVX on their website: www.divx.com." To me this means that Nimbus is the major producer of Divx disks and is busy right now with open DVD as well. They probably could use that extra capacity they are investing in right now. As I have said, I think Divx (whether it succeeds or fails) will be good for Nimbus as it will bring attention to the company as a significant player in the DVD industry. Lets hope it can increase the bottom line, that what really matters here. Nice volume today 260K, and no mega blocks most < 10K.
