I have both syquest and IOM drives. Been in graphics business more years than I care to mention. Both Syquest and IOM drive perform well.

Personal Computers.

PC: 1991 - Tried to purchase 88 meg syquest for PC...had to return five dives, differnt problem with each. I switched to IOM transportable 150. Good drive. Still works fine.

PMac: 1994 - Purchase 88 meg syquest...no trouble todate.

PC: 1/1997 - Built in IDE Zip with new puter. Works Great no problems. 7/1997 - Purchased SCSI Zip for another one of my puters...it also works great no problems.

Removable drives are used extensively by the graphics industry to shuttle around images and files. They work great. Syquest originally had the market share in this industry...however, IOM with the advent of the Zip drive has taken over.
