Latest TTRIF lawsuit (these guys are really on a roll here!) Ex-exec targeted in latest suit Thermo Tech Technologies Inc TTRIF Shares issued 56,968,415 Tue 9 Jun 98 Street Wire COMPOST FIRM HAS MORE CONCERNS OVER TRADE SECRETS by Brent Mudry Thermo Tech Technologies has launched a new suit in its battle to protect its confidential proprietary technology and trade secrets. This time the target is Dale Fehr, the previous president and chief executive of its indirect subsidiary, Thermo Tech Management. In a statement of claim filed Tuesday in B.C. Supreme Court, Thermo Tech seeks assorted court orders and unspecified damages against Mr Fehr, Essex Group Consulting and International Bio Recovery. Thermo Tech claims that Mr Fehr now works for International Bio Recovery, a competitor, and he has or is about to reveal secret and confidential information, know-how and trade secrets relating to its composting technology. Lawyer Edward Bowes of O'Neill & Company notes that Thermo Tech Management is a wholly owned subsidiary of Thermo Tech Waste Systems, which itself is a wholly owned subsidiary of Thermo Tech Technologies. The claim notes that Mr Fehr, a businessman in Sechelt on B.C.'s sunshine coast and Essex Group Consulting, based in St. Albert, Alberta, provided consulting services to Thermo Tech Technologies and Thermo Tech Management from July, 1993, to March, 1995. Mr Fehr served as president and CEO of Thermo Tech Management during that period. Thermo Tech claims that during their tenure, Mr Fehr and Essex agreed to be bound by covenants not to share any secrets about the company. The suit notes that International Bio Recovery hired Mr Fehr in hopes of inducing him to reveal Thermo Tech's confidential information.
