Zebra,

Viagra is not safe to administer to most of these patients listed.

What business did the doctors have prescribing it anyway?

Oh, I guess they watch too much CNBC.

Hello everyone I have 3 comments/question

1. Thamks to all who have contributied volumes of meaningful information on Vivus (stats, marketing, technical info ...)
You have kept my confidence up and given the courage to keep buying

2. "I would hope to see some serious long term buyers come in at these levels."

I've been a shadow on this thread for weeks now. At first I really had nothing to contribute. I have gained tremendous insight from the informed information on this board. I originally bought at 12 1/2 and have added at 10, 9 and 6 1/2 ave a little under 10 for 25k shares. My small holding is serious to see this stock through. I have an advantage over some investors as I can understand the issues and science c I have a Ph.D. in chemistry. The Dallas study was ludicrous and has already been discussed in depth. They should have to made a public retraction and should have their degrees revolked. I have pulbished 30 some refereed papers and conference presentations and would be embarassed by their unprofessional report. (I knew it was ridiculous from the beginning as 74 world wide studies of 1800 men could not be that far off)

3. from MF "So the question the statisticians will answer will be: Are the numbers cardiac events suffered by Viagra users any different than one would expect by chance alone in that same cohort of people?

I don't understand how one says 18 + 8 = 26 deaths and counting out of 1.7 million users is meaningless and due simply to sexual activity in a high risk group.

I understand that on the order of 700,000 have used muse over the 18 months it has been on the market. That is approximately half that of Viagra patients

deaths equal 0 + 1 = 1 for muse (the one old guy of a heart attack during the clinical trials)

Now one knows that sex is strenuous and can cause a coronary but to make the claim that Viagra is not contributing to these deaths seems ludicrous as the ratio is 26/2 (twice as many users) 13 to 1 !!!!

To me if it is simply stress on the body the numbers from each method of allowing sexual activity would be the same.
