Non-competes need to be very specific (geographically and scope of work) to be enforced. It is likely electronic check payment would be covered in a non-compete agreement. Also, they (non-competitive agreements) are notoriously difficult to enforce since you can't eliminate someone's ability to earn a livelihood. Indentured servitude is no longer allowed in this country.
