An amusing little piece of misinformation on my part, huh? Thanks for pointing it out.

Or how about this: I come up with two numbers for the Dow's close by calculating it one day in advance, when my calculations aren't clouded by the actual data. For the first number I apply a simple formula to the previous day's Dow: ref(c,1). For the second number, I apply a series of formulas to phrenological measurements of market analysts who've appeared during the day on CNBC. It's a time-consuming process, but profitable. A TV with at least a 27-inch screen is recommended when taking analysts' skull measurements. I use a simple tape measure. On days when my movements are restricted by restraints, I rely on rough estimates (which may explain occasional discrepancies in the Dow numbers).
