The folks at Inktomi (INKT) should get out the shovel, because its upcoming IPO is about to dump a boatload of cash right on their doorstep.

The search engine and caching technology firm priced
Tuesday night at 18, up from its original range of 12 to 14, and word on the Street has the first trade being up -- are you ready? -- 15 points.

If these numbers hold true, the company's original
expected market cap would jump from $267 million to
almost $700 million in the blink of an eye, and would put Inktomi in the same category as DoubleClick (DCLK), Broadcom (BRCM), Verisign (VRSN), and others as a candidate for hottest IPO of the year.
