To me, it's sort of like buying a stock based on a Business Week article. The stock runs up on the news and sells off too soon for the small trader to make a profit. As a piece of news it may have value. But to make a decision off CNBC is probably going to hurt more often than help, I think.
I think that should be mentioned to someone who is starting out.
