Mike....this is not a Betamax vrs VCR....winner take all deal....there is plenty of room in the drug field for options... Did you notice that the scripts for injections have not been impacted by Viagra...Why ?? Because these patients need a large/direct dose of MED...Viagra will not work for them... When Muse was introduced in the US and the UK ...it too took away the greater part of the injection market...but not all...J& J has a smaller piece of the pie.... Zona , HVSF, are not even close......

MIKE, From what I have researched thus far, no effective oral med better than Viagra will be available for at least for a couple of years. So the next 2 years the choices are: 1)Viagra 2)MUSE 3)Needle Now I am not including apomorphine or the ZONA drug because Viagra is more effective. In two years Vivus may have a third generation product. Your conception of "obsolete" is not valid when comparing electronics to drugs. Penicillin has been around for 50 years and although many other new antibiotics are constantly being developed it is not considered to be "obsolete". The most common protocol for ED will be 1)Viagra (asuming no cardiovascular disease) 2)MUSE 3)needle. Granted some uros such as Dale will skip the MUSE but enough doctors will go from least invasive to most invasive to keep MUSE scripts going.
