Taiwan Semiconductor May sales up 29.6 pct
NEW YORK, June 9 (Reuters) - Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company Ltd. (TSM - news) said today that unaudited net sales for May 1998 increased 29.6 percent from a year ago to NT$4,056 million after dropping 10.4 percent in April.
The company said net growth in May is due to a better product mix and favorable currency movements, but expects growth to slow because of the economic slowdown in the Asia- Pacific region.
