On transportation Bill: The measure does include a bevy of special projects for all 50 states. An estimated 1,500 pet projects -- including bike paths in Oregon, preOlympic renovations for Salt Lake City, Utah, and a new bridge for Republican Sen.Trent Lott's hometown in Mississippi -- are expected to cost $7 billion, which critics say is too much. The money states will receive under the $203 billion highway law, as well as the percentage change from the preceding six-year law.
