I started investing in DD stocks after the last downturn, so I haven't witnessed a full cycle to see all the dynamics at work. I have to wonder though, perhaps this cycle is different due to the "sub-1000" PC. It seems that falling PC prices is a new variable in the cycle equation.

It makes me wonder, will DD stocks go the way of DRAM co's. Look at Micron. Back in 1995 it climbed to nearly $100 per share. Now DRAM is a two-bit commodity with very slim profit margins. Absent diversification, Micron will likely never again see the highs of 1995.

Could DDs be heading down the same path? Just throwing out food for thought. Good luck to all.

You're sometimes too scary.
