It is not easy to maintain a 20% growth at the $1.6b level. That generally requires a series of new well timed widgets and/or a new Marketing Strategy with heavy increases in Sales staff. . . .

I can safely say that you will see a substantial increase in Sales and Marketing expenses if they are going to make the leap.

I don't know anyone who's against spending money to make money.

Mr. Lutz's experience at Compaq gives him a thorough understanding of what and who is driving the market and NN won't have to waste marketing dollars going after the wrong audience with the wrong products.

Also for every dollar spent on sales and marketing, I'm guessing there'll be a dollar saved in efficiencies in other areas of the company. This is generally one of the benefits of bringing in outside management.
