The Dii Group, Inc. Expands Stock Repurchase Plan

NIWOT, Colo., June 11 /PRNewswire/ -- The Dii Group, Inc. (Nasdaq: DIIG - news) today announced that its Board of Directors has extended its stock repurchase authority to 2,000,000 shares of common stock from 1,000,000 shares. The company has repurchased a total of 0.9 million shares to date under its repurchase program. Additional purchases may be made from time to time in open market transactions or through privately negotiated transactions at prices that meet the company's pre-determined financial objectives. The company anticipates that such purchases could occur over an extended period of time.

At March 29, 1998 (the end of the first quarter), there were approximately 25.1 million outstanding shares of the Dii Group common stock and approximately 31.1 million weighted average outstanding shares and equivalents of The Dii Group common stock.
