Robin,
I think you can find the answers to all of your questions with a little DD using the reference page posted by Janybird in several places on this thread. To help you out a bit, the following are some of the answers.

1. The TLC-Bili correlated 95% with blood serum measurements (FYI, this is a very high correlation and was the reason CCSI got the FDA approval)

2. Yes it is accurate enough to replace heel sticks. I do understand that it will not completely eliminate heel sticks as blood is still necessary to run a series of other tests.

3. The use of the device will go beyond initial assessment. It is also unique in that it can be used under photo-therapy conditions.

4. The unit will be calibrated with a proprietary disposable that will provide a stream of income to CCSI as the devices are used in the field.
