Iqbal, sometimes i liken you to a radio disc jockey. i read your posts religously and appreciate your take on the market. as a disc jockey speaks on the radio, you never know if there is an audience. you keep talking, knowing, half wondering, does anyone really listen to what i have to say ? yes, we are out there. i read your posts daily. as well as cramer on street.com. i like his straight forward approach also. i was in paris last week and thought of you. currently living in texas,i was sitting in a park by the marmotan museum where many monet painting's are exhibited, watching a man pull a merry go round of horses, with children trying to grab rings from a holder with a worn stick, and marveled at how the children play so simply. suddenly i thought of you and how you have described this incredible phenomemnum, the internet, and how we are a closer world because of it. knowing that you are in paris somewhere, i remembered a story of a boy named iqbal, in pakistan, i think. it was an odd moment thinking about technology and simplicity and the unmentioned impact that people like yourself have, reflecting on many things, the market, philosphy, personal experience, all through this medium, the internet, while watching the children sing like birds with excitement with each ring they collected. just wanted to let you know that this silent lurker was thinking about you in paris. p.s. back to the market, the downward direction of oil and oil stocks bothers me. you don't mention oil very often, but i feel that some of the uncertainty of the market is related to oil. i spoke to a ceo of an oil related service company the other day, and he said that the glut is exagerated and that the oversupply on a percentage basis is very small. obviously some sectors benifit from the decline in oil, ie transports, but further broad market advances without the oil industry seems to me to be a problem. what will it take to turn oil around ? your thoughts as always are appreciated. kurt
