Sig, past performance is not always indicative of future price action. If you need to see examples look at MU, WDC, SEG, ADPT and many many other fine companies who found themselves in a tight spot.

I don't care if the company is run by Mikey or God. The following statement is ridiculous at best: "My advise is to buy Dell anytime at any price. ".

As for those who point out that the distributors would be upset at CPQ & IBM for going direct. I personally talked to few of the largest ones last week (not sales folks, CEO level) and they accept the realities of the business in the 2 tier model and are fine with cooperating and reinventing themselves.

If you remember the article in Fortune..I told my mother/law to buy Dell and She has doubled her money in a few months..She loves me for it and waiting to buy more...We even made Fortune magazine on that Dell buy...The Techster is cOOL<gg>
