Ed,

Asensio pulled the same crap on Vivus back in December.

Vivus's erectile disfunction product MUSE was granted FDA approval a year earlier. A report of a multicenter double blind study on over 1000 men proved about a 67% success rate.

On December 9, 1997 Vivus announced that due to production constraints, Vivus would see a 25% decrease in Q4 earnings estimates.
Immediately after Vivus issued the warning, Asensio came out with a report saying that the companies product MUSE did not work. Asensio sited an obscure Italian study done on a handful of men. The men were given a dose of MUSE and after obtaining an erection a 2 pound weight was hung off the end of the penis. If the penis buckled downwards they considered MUSE a failure.

This report was outright slander towards a company that is working hard to help men with a medical problem. I believe that Vivus could have sued Asensio for slander. Vivus simply ignored the report and went on with business as usual. During a subsequent conference call the Vivus CEO was asked about the Asensio report. His response was to laugh. Many Vivus share holders were pissed because they felt that Vivus should have responded to the report. Vivus felt that to respond to the likes of asensio would only give him undue attention.

I don't know about CCSI and the current situation.

I do know that Asensio is a SCUM BAG who's only concern is making a buck on his short positions.

Sorry to all the longs who lost money on Monday thanks to shorts such as Asensio and the market manipulators.

Moral of the story: KEEP YOUR MONEY OUT OF NASDAQ STOCKS! There is too much hanky panky that goes on in this exchange and it is the small investor who gets burned!
