John, this was the emailed response given by Tom Coolley (scientist/director with Carbon) to the fellow I speak with at ATNY regarding your question...
"...what patented process are you speaking of? SynGen , our patented process has nothing to do with catalysts. The Russians have not patented their catalysts for the F-T outside Russia;they prefer to keep them as trade secrets. The F-T catalyst is generically the same as the others, cobalt based. However, the promoters in the catalyst are very different and they are what make this technology superior. It is like saying all teams in the NBA play basketball, but we have Michael Jordan in our reactor."
