The tobacco bill: tobacco is not the point. I'm new to the thread, so much of what I have to say may be nothing new; however,I am firmly convinced that neither the Republicans nor the Democrats care about the "issues of tabacco". What they do care about are the next elections and the best way they can "use" the tobacco issue to get votes and/or trash the opposition.
What mental capacity our representatives have is being put to work on the subject of "cashing in" on voters' perceptions and emotions.
For example, using the tobacco money for the "war" on drugs is totally hypocritical ( not to mention absolutely stupid!).

Tomorrow MO goes ex-dividend.

Is that for trades taking place tomorrow, last Friday (i.e. Settlement is T+3) or for trades taking place some other date?

Thanks,
Ian
