Kevin,

I think Compaq intended to include a 350 Mhz K6-2 system in their fall line, but got screwed up by the fact that that speed did not materialize. I think they would have still released a 333 Mhz version, but the available motherboards do not support the 95 Mhz x 3.5 clock multiplier. I would bet that Compaq is not very happy about this. Compaq waits for no man! When Cyrix could not deliver the GX 233 in volume as scheduled, Compaq dropped them like a rock. At this point, I would bet that Compaq is not going to adopt the 333 K6-2, but jump straight to the 350 when it comes out. I hope to be proven wrong.

Pravin.

Kevin - Re: "I have one case of good quality beer that says Compaq will introduce at least one K6-2 based box by year end."

Now that's what I call sandbagging!

How about by the end of this month?
