from my understanding that up until xdate the holdings you have gets the split. ... They are awaiting the new CUSIP ... so basically since the SOR date the stock is trading with the split attached so it you sell the stock you sell the dividend along with it but no extra money. Xdate seperates the attachment which is when you will realize the additional shares. Ok if a woman becomes pregnant she is with child from the time of conception that would be like the SOR. Now the time of the duration of pregnancy where every the woman goes child goes to ... Now the birth where the cord is cut and the baby and mother are finally seperated would be likr the xdate.
