Hi Michael,

Although I can more than sympathize with the desire to know all the secret inside information, as competitive as this market is, the information that would take a lot of the risk out of investing, is the same information that would give the competition ammo to stomp us flat. There was a fair amount of information on future products available in the conference call, but they were pretty careful about not giving out anything competitors could use against them. I think the company would do well to have an 800 number available for those calls so more investors would take advantage of the information. The Savage chip was described as kind of an intermediate product to retain market share while they get their next major release into production.

I suspect that a good portion of the Cirrus deal was in the nature of a settlement where S3 might have been kinda, sorta, maybe, already using the patents. The Exponential deal is more interesting. I don't have the technical expertise to read up on the patents and figure out what they could be used for, so I'm pretty much left to the realm of wild speculation. Short of going out to pick up an engineering degree, wild speculation is about all I have to work with. S3 has had the Exponential patents since last August so I suppose we'll find out what (if anything) they are building eventually.

The market is starting to look like it's getting ready to top out, so maybe we'll see some of the momentum players take profits on their over priced stuff and start shifting more toward value plays.

Regards,

Don
