"In the Asia-Pacific market, however, sales grew 4.1 percent to $2.4 billion from $2.3 billion in March, helping to offset dips in the three other regions tracked by the SIA: the Americas, Europe and Japan.

"With a second consecutive month of increased sales in the Asia-Pacific, we're seeing the beginnings of a recovery in that marketplace," Doug Andry, the SIA's director of information systems and finance, said in a statement."
