Lazarre, That was a good question...and one that we all should try and answer! What is everyone's thoughts on the energy sector? Anybody have any specifics? From things I've read in other places, the general consensus seems to be that the energy sector will be rising during this summer and fall, possibly due to OPEC's plans to curtail production...possibly because these sectors seem to go in cycles and we've been going through a low one. Also, I was talking with an expert in the mining industry a little while ago, and I imagine that what he said would apply to oil and gas exploration too. He mentioned the cost of extracting the asset. He said that if you have $100,000,000 in the ground, but if it costs $200,000,000 to extract, you haven't gained anything. But he said that nowadays the equipment is so sensitive and accurate that is used that people have a really good idea as to what is there and how much it will cost to extract before they even begin. Interpolating that over to our oil/gas industry....it would seem that the same would apply to them. In fact I know it does. As I stated before, I have personally met with a CEO of a very well-respected energy employer in West Virginia. He told me that before they buy any land....they already pretty much know what is on it. It's not like the old days from 50 years ago, when people bought land and then prayed for a strike. Nowadays they already know what is there....and they even have a good idea of how MUCH is there. Hey!!! Has anybody talked with Mountain Energy about any of these things? I would really love to hear what was said. Since Jack and his crew have all those years of experience, obviously this information is not new to any of them...but I was wondering what they said about the subject. Listen people....there are LOTS of ways to find out information...even if one never talks to the company. In fact, many times I prefer NOT to talk to a company at first...but to instead learn about it's industry from other sources. THEN I like to talk with the company. Juanita
