>>Does anybody know how many Presario PC's Compaq sold in the prior quarters?<<

It doesn't matter. Besides, it is very likely that Iomega loses money on each and every OEM drive sold. They only make money on retail sales. And retail sales have slowed dramatically.

OEM sales also mean much lower disc tie ratios. Like 0. Or 1. With the average shipping hard drive now over 4 gigs, the need for additional storage by the average user is remote. High tie ratio users are the retail buyers. And this market is saturated.

The Compaq news is meaningless, or possibly harmful to Iomega's bottom line. More OEM sales, less retail. Lower tie ratios. A possible loss on every drive sold, and at the very least, much lower margins.

Revenue? $380 mill
EPS? (-0.07›) loss
stock price? $4.80
