Don't follow or don't agree or don't want to admit?

For those who are wondering, when block shares of 500 are being offered, it is often a good sign the MM's are short on a stock and want to create opportunities to either profit from a stock's volatility (by breaking up large orders and moving the price up in order to fill them) or, at the very least, stay competitive with the other MM's when there is a lot of buying or selling. Gradually, as conditions change (fundamentals, negative smear campaigns, etc.) and the market begins to shift, MM's start dropping the bid/ask as a means to scare some shares out of the market. When the MM's begin to feel more comfortable in their short position, they will increase the size of the blocks they wish to buy or sell. In the past week, we have seen ICVI offered in blocks of 500, then as the panic selling started, blocks of 2500. Finally, this morning, blocks of 5000 offered to buy or sell. The direct coorelation with the recent sell-off is pretty apparent. Now that the blocks are back to 5000 x 5000, we can assume most or all of the shorts have covered and a more normal trading pattern will emerge.

Did I miss anything? If so, clue me in -- I'm always willing to learn.
