My info is sketchy - but I believe ALTR derives about 10-12% revenue from Asia while XLNX is <5%.

ALTR & XLNX are leaps ahead of LSCC in process technology, architecture, and new products, and have been for 2 years. As for a comparison between the two, it is a leapfrog race and will continue to be that way. This year XLNX is in front with significant advantages in 3.3V high speed parts. ALTR is a year behind. Given this, I see 3-5% growth for XLNX and flat for ALTR this quarter.

1 year from now, it may be the reverse. Given this and almost parity in their prices, I choose XLNX as my long purchase for the day (although I already hold ALTR but at a loss).
