Paul,
This PR maybe part of the 100,000 shares

Chemical Co. Purchases 190,100 Shares of Nortran

Oh Kim Sun, Executive Director of Chemical Company of Malaysia Berhad
("CCM"), a Kuala Lumpur Stock Exchange listed company, advises that its
wholly owned subsidiary has purchased through the Vancouver Stock Exchange
("VSE") an additional 190,100 common shares (the "Shares") of Nortran
Pharmaceuticals Inc. ("Nortran"), a VSE listed company.

CCM is now deemed by the Securities Acts (British Columbia and
Ontario) to "beneficially own" 5,200,100 common shares of Nortran. CCM is
not acting jointly or in concert with any other person in connection with
the securities of Nortran (other than its subsidiary CCM Investments
Limited) and CCM has no intention at this time of increasing its beneficial
ownership of, or control or direction over, any of the securities of
Nortran beyond 19.9%. The purpose of this and previous purchases of
Nortran shares by CCM is as an investment.
