For what it's worth, I just placed a chart of AMZN with some analysis up on my site - coolhistory.com

Here's what I see from a purely technical perspective:

As of yesterday's close, AMZN appears to be staging a breakout above 50 on good volume. Going back to April 1, the stock has been in a trading range between roughly 42 and 50. If it can stay above 50 today (looks like it might) it will be a very bullish sign.

The MACD indicator is widely followed and gave a strong buy signal on Monday when the indicator crossed above its signal line. Yesterday, the indicator moved back into positive territory, another bullish signal. Note that this was the first time since December of last year that MACD had gone negative and it had never gone so far below zero in the history of this stock.

The price also recently closed back above its 50-day moving average (thin blue line) for the first time since mid-May. The long-term uptrend (thick green line) is still solidly in place.

Disclosure: I am currently neither long nor short AMZN.
