ratan, good post. However utee does have a point: some people like for things to be pointed out to them in a cooler, more " blase' " fashion. OK I will add that in the menu requirements to post in this thread, gg. See, that wasn't so difficult after all. Also, I am certain that several (physician) readers of this post will understand
how from time to time another doc could become "hot" when he sees patients needlessly dying. Yes, I know, it is worth dying for a good night out , almost like some 18 year olds felt when going to war 100 years ago.The problem of course with the doc is that he is left to sweep the room after an allnight party, having to explain to an aggrieved family, with lawyer at times, how all this happened.
The other reasons for " heating under the collar " can be found
in previous posts:
-abandoning the fundamental principle in medicine that local is better and safer than systemic ( one death so far reported for MUSE in the last 2 years , although I could be off a death or two ).
-unleashing a systemic, powerful drug, on millions of people with incomplete data re: drug to drug interactions, long-term retinal effects etc.

TA

PS For those threaders keeping tab on my work schedule and concerned that i am lazying away, I would like to point out that for docs today is W E D N E S D A Y , G O L F D A Y !!!!! ( pardon the excitement there ); I made a conscious decision however not to go golfing and instead to attend to more pressing matters on the web; it's also raining outside,
