Storm Technology Takes Scanning Software to New Level With Next Generation EasyPhoto 3.0
Leading Easy-to-Use Scanning Software Adds Wide View Galleries, Internet Links And Support for Removable Media
MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif., June 8 /PRNewswire/ -- Storm Technology, Inc. (Nasdaq: EASY - news), a leading supplier of affordable, high-quality color scanners, today announced EasyPhoto(TM) 3.0, an enhanced version of its easy-to-use software that enables consumers to organize, store, edit, and share photos, video snapshots and documents. Available directly from Storm and shipping with all future Storm scanners, EasyPhoto 3.0 incorporates many new features, including ''wide view'' galleries, support for removable media, and direct links to Storm's Web site.
EasyPhoto 3.0 features enhanced photo galleries, providing users an intuitive, visual way to organize, store and find digital images on a PC. Also, EasyPhoto's new ''wide view'' feature allows users to view thumbnails of photos in rows in addition to columns. Users can also print contact sheets of galleries for hard copy reference and filing. The galleries may also be used to create personalized screen-savers or slide shows, and users can easily ''drag and drop'' images from the galleries into virtually any application, including word processors, presentation packages, drawing and publishing programs, and home creativity programs.
Linking customers directly to Storm's Web site, EasyPhoto 3.0 makes it easier for users to access Storm's ''Fun With Photos'' section for project of the month ideas, a photo trading post, tips and tricks, and more. In addition, EasyPhoto 3.0 supports removable media, such as Zip disk drives, to help lessen PC storage issues caused by increasingly larger file sizes. These file sizes result from the higher resolutions and bit depths provided by today's latest scanners.
