Remember folks. The Australian market sets the price, not the New York market. As long as the locals are selling the stock it will
follow here. If I lived in Australia I would NOT be very happy with
the Asian situation and would probably not be too hot to buy any
stocks.

I still say that OE should publicly say if they lost the auto deal
they have been talking about.

I can't speak for anyone but myself, but I was shocked at what the tour and phone call produced.

Virtually nothing on 4-stroke (except the usual claim a deal is imminent). That's what my pessimism is based on. I'm not down on OE as much as I am down on them for the near term. Remember, I was led to believe for months a deal would be made in April. Then Pierre started talking up June. Now two direct contacts with OE result in avoiding discussion of 4-stroke? That's the whole (real) reason these inquiries were made! I'm not writing off OE, I'm just sliding to the back of my chair. And I'm sick and tired of scooching up to the front of it.

Yes, I concede that as Asia screws up the value of the Australian dollar, the stock will fall (in Australia, which forces it down in NY). But that's doesn't absolve OE of what was said on the tour and the phone call. The valuation is driving the stock down in tiny fractions. An announcement would move it in dollars.
