Lee -
You have correctly identified Dell's strongest market - North America desktop sales to large corporations. Looking at all PC shipments, Dell is #4 on most surveys. On servers, Dell is doing very well in the US as you point out, so you might also look at world wide units where they are not yet so strong.
But past history is no guarantee of future performance - if you understand my post you will see that I would expect Dell to achieve #2 status across the board in the next 2 to 3 years on both units and revenue. I would expect CPQ to remain #1.

Does anyone expect DELL to eventually be number one in sales in all areas that the company is in? Even overtaking Compaq?
Just wondering.
Because several of you have mentioned it is in its infancy.
