Excellent trading pattern yesterday and today following the STP announcement.

A little pulling back after the release, but VERY strong action late in the afternoon today.

Attention is starting to be paid to the possibility of further good news on several fronts.

I received the Stockman Forum newsletter today, and there were interesting comments from RealityCheck on this agreement between Antares and Steppe Gold. This Stockman newsletter is well worth the subscription cost and gives the readers up-to-date information on popular stocks and the market in general. I hope both Mr. Stockman and RealityCheck do not mind my posting those comments here:

"In my opinion, this is a very sweet deal for Antares. Having said that, it is also a relief that Steppe will be able to move ahead with the due diligence required to complete the Standard Bank financing of the Mizek gold project. I am confident that Steppe management did not concede any more than was necessary in this market.

It is also worth noting that insiders continue to show enormous support for the company.

I have been critical of Steppe for the last few months and will continue to be so until several outstanding issues are resolved. Several people have credited me with being 'right' about the Standard Bank due diligence not having started yet. What I was right about was reporting exactly what John Menzies disclosed to me. Unfortunately, Mr. Menzies was not entirely clear on this matter when he subsequently posted a response to several of my questions on SI. Many people misinterpreted his comments but, while he might be criticized for not setting the matter straight, the fact remains that he was quite clear in his statements to me. Frankly, I have never had any problem with information that I have obtained directly from Steppe. What has caused some difficulty recently has been a lack of information.

With the addition of two new board members recently and the funds from Antares, Steppe should be able to move ahead with its objectives.

I anticipate further releases shortly. A Steppe thread is avilable on my stock forum: customforum.com
