France, Portugal, Italy, Spain, Denmark are others that play the NON kick and punt style - not sure if it is correct to say that the long kick is the European style.

Mor. just scored - nice goal...

and Nor. just tied - 2-2!

Morocco - Norway: 2 - 2

A great game, hope we see more like it. Norway should be feeling lucky to come out with a tie. If soccer was ever scored on the beauty of goals it would be Morocco 6 Norway 1<gg>. Bad break the own goal on the very last play of the first half. Morocco has great speed and passion but I am not sure about maturity (too many scissor Kicks and defensive lapses, especially right after scoring). The second place in this group is wiiiiiide open.

Talking about Croyf, when I was a kid my nickname was Croyf....oh good old days<g>

Norway performed pretty much what I expected. A game based on physical strengths, conditioning, long balls and use of their heads (to get an own goal from the head of a little Moroccon is ironic)

Hadji was impressive, what a great goal he scored. But sometimes he tried to do a little too much. Morocco's defense, considering their size disadvantage, played pretty good. Nobody impressed me from Norway. They really need to pick it up in the next two games if they want to stick around. My guess is that they will just continue playing the same way, go home and noone will notice just like in 1994.

Did you hear that in England they now offer free counseling for spouses who feel neglected from their husbands who watch the games these days?

Anyway, great opening day, let's hope we keep it up.

Oh, I just had a call from my brother who lives in Sao Paulo. The mood is far from festive there....people are not happy from Brazil's performance at all...again they blame the coach!
