The Fed is going to wait and wait and wait until they have an absolutely, unambiguously clear picture of inflation and economic activity....Reminds me of a joke<g> There was a husband who thought his wife was committing adultery, and hired a detective to to get pictures of them "in the act" for definitive proof. The detective followed the wife and another man and watched as they checked into a motel room. She and the other guy began hugging and kissing and tearing off their clothes, but then closed the blinds before the detective could get any pictures of "the act". The detective reported all that transpired back to the husband who responded, "Isn't that always the way it is? You just never know for sure."
