Isn't it pretty nasty for Cramer to say that 3COM needs every man, woman, and child (in the states or in the world?) to buy a PalmPilot in order to save the company?

Research aside this report is sounds like its been based upon extrapolating a company's quarterly report. True that one can get the idea from the pricing pressures but what is so special besides that in this report. Is it saying something that no one knows ? Then to top it all off he just mentions Cisco, LU and Nortel without even mentioning other players in that space like ASND. Or maybe he knows who LU and Nortel are buying and felt there was no point mentioning them. >Sales of several other types of equipment -- namely network interface >cards, hubs, frame relay switches and access servers -- will shrink >as they are replaced by newer technology. Like what ? Wouldnt hurt to mention those. Its a "research" firm report after all. Or will that be shared after you buy it for $2000 and that this is a great marketing gimmick ? -hitesh
