..amzn isnt just a usa company...they will deal to the world via the strenght of the good ole usa economy.

Huh? I guess the German's would rather give their money to AMZN than Bertelsmann. And, the Brits will choose AMZN over Bookshop.co.uk (which, you may recall, is the largest bookseller in the UK and just sold for $15.4 million). Perhaps you can explain how an American company has an advantage overseas (due to our economic strength?) against local and, in the case of Germany at least, bigger competitors. Yes, the 'net crosses borders without a hitch, but packages do not and loyalty to one's countrymen's businesses isn't erased easily.
