FWIW I phoned my senators today (d'Amato and Moynihan) and voiced my opposition to the tobacco legislation. What a money grabbing bunch of nonsense! Don't our legislators think we are intelligent enough to read the warning labels on a pack of cigarettes? Obviously not...all this from someone who lost his mother at a young age (she was a heavy smoker, died of cancer, I'll allow you to put 2+2 together)...
Good luck to all unfairly beaten up longs.

GP: I too think this fall to 37 represented a great buying opportunity for the Maalox crowd...I didn't have the stomach for it...will need to see what tomorrow brings..these individual lawsuits are a crapshoot, ya win some and ya lose some...no rhyme or reason and the wall street coughs are great buying ops. We need to see how these tob. stocks bounce back after each trial loss to get a pattern of stock action which we can use to our advantage.
