We've never had a problem with the Jaz, had to replace the Zip a couple of times already and the Syquest performs well. One annoying feature of the Syquest Syjet is that any little tap or knock on the top or side of the unit will make the unit eject it's cassette. Otherwise, it is a great little drive.
