market enough that there is still time to make these kind of arrangements, if they get off of their asses.


Jess, Why not wait for the Japanese banks to get even worse and get an even better bailout deal? Why should a Strong, profitable Western bank jump into a market that has yet to see a bottom? I can see where Western Banks would like the Japanese market, but I don't see where they would be in a hurry to lose money to gain market share there right now while there is presently so much profitable activity in the US and Europe. I've seen the Japanese "let you into their markets" and still not really let you in, if that makes sense.
