Cat,

If CPQ is taking the 1B obsolete inventory write down as reported by the various news sources, then should not these units be subtracted from CPQ's unit sales figures? I suppose it depends on whether the units being written down were previously reported as sold.

If they were previously reported as sold, then another 800 to 1000 K units should be subtracted from CPQ's reported unit sales numbers.
If they were not previously sold are they reflected in the financial statements as unsold inventory?

As long as questions like this remain unanswered, reports of sales from CPQ should be taken with a grain of salt.

Regards,

Jim Kelley
