Very unusual call buying today for MACR. 867 June and July call options were traded verses only 10 June and July put options traded. Maybe some more good news in the near future?

IE4.0 automatically downloads and installs any required plug-in...

Microshaft just released the Beta version of Liquid Motion, a WYSIWYG Java animation design tool. It supposedly allows for the creation of web animations using Java without requiring any programming. They are really touting the fact that it does not require any plug-ins to view the animations, that any Java enabled browser can view them. I'm using NN3.01 (with Java enabled), and none of the animations would play (I kept getting a Missing Class Error).

It sounds like they are trying to compete with Flash, but all future versions of Netscape will have the Flash player built-in, and IE4.0 automatically downloads and installs any required plug-in (a very quick operation that is almost transparent to the user). Granted, a lot of people still use browsers that would require downloading the Flash plug-in, but most of them will over time (next few years) upgrade to newer browsers where plug-ins are not a problem.

If you would like to *try* to see Liquid Motion in action, go to
microsoft.com

Personally, I will stick with Flash.
Long on MACR,
