Thanks Mark

I'm afraid that the new guys on the thread just do not seem to want to benefit from the experience of long term followers of Novell's doings by people such as yourself. I on the other hand know it pays to listen. They call it looking in the rear view mirror.

In the end they are going to be sorry for thinking this thread is about propaganda in support of ones investment position --- which it isn't and for ignoring the experience with Novell of investors just like themselves.

Take the most recent run-up to 12.5. I noticed the June 12.5 Calls going at premiums while the volume was up. Well basically there was more shorting of the stock whose volume we will be able to ascertain with the short interest report coming out soon. Once again the shorts were proved right since the stock sunk to 11.5.

If you go with the enthusiasm of the thread you might have held on to your Calls instead of using the shorting opportunity. If you didn't short then you paid the price for this enthusiasm. The stock is at 11.5. All the rah rah doesn't change those facts.

Yes the stock may come back but what will happen if the stock tanks in a down market. In that case those who bought in at 10-12 may get to feel what it is like to lose significant money on Novell. I bought in at 10-12 when 4.11 was supposed to make a difference.

Then perhaps they will understand why the investors that were burned like Joe and so many others are pissed enough at Novell to join in the stockholders suit.

Right now there is no use in arguing with them. The fundamental lesson people who invest and post in chat rooms do not seem to be able to learn is that each investment is like an exploration into the unknown. You have to look for signs of a turn in the fate of the company and accept information that knowledgeable people offer. The mission is not to beat down voices and turn the thread into an echo of your investment decision. The mission is to gain information to assist you in making a good investmentn decision.

Thanks once again for the Noorda comments.
