TA and CTYT! I have an off subject question for a software consultant about y2k fixing. Do the fixers take advantage of the fact that for each of the two bytes used for a 00 to 99 year, there are 16 possibilities, not 10? Needn't a fixer merely need to change the program to read the actual value of each hexadecimal byte, rather than the ascii value, then simply continue to increment the bytes, even well after 00? I'm pretty naive about this stuff, and its probably obvious, and I should probably take my question to some other thread that specializes in y2k.
SIA <Sorry in advance> and LOL too.
