But only if the contentious statements are framed in a proper context and perspective. There the law is very clear. And the test of reasonableness is a valid test of what a reasonable person might infer from such contentious statements if placed out of context of other pertinent facts. Intent to harm is also very important. Intent is proved by a pattern of behavior. Other instances of such behavior unrelated to libel in the current case are admissible to establish a pattern of behavior and a likelihood of you possessing a harmful intent at the time you wrote the contentious statements.
