Well, Scott, I'm impressed...truly I am.

I'm no guru but you have progressed quite a ways in the past year or so. Whether your analysis is correct or not I have no opinion. But you have an opinion that has some basis.... a basis that exists because you are trying to reason why the market does this or that.

Whether you are correct or not is immaterial. At one point, people listen to opinion....at an advanced point they listen and formulate their own opinion.

I am happy to say, I knew you when....I think you are on your way to doing well in this industry and I wish you all the luck, as many never make it as far as you have.

re "so there you have it." Not me, I didn't get it. But pleeeeze dont tell it again. -GG-

One commentator quoted in a Reuter newswire artice said "this market is like a dying man who sits up in bed: looks impressive at first, but it doesn't last."

re "There are some strong similarities, but a few key differences."

Yeah, one difference is that the Hang Seng is actually lower right now than the lowest point in Oct 1997. It's at a new 52 week low if I'm guessing right. I don't know how low it got yesterday, but this just on Reuters:

"The Hang Seng was down 237.54 points or 2.98 percent at 7,741.83 at 0330 GMT, after losing almost five percent on Wednesday."
